Summer is over.....I am actually excited for Fall. Fall is my favorite time of year. The girls just started school a few weeks ago. They both just started at a new school, since we moved a few miles away to a new house. So far, they both seem to like their new school and new teachers. They are making new friends and it is fun to be able to ride our bikes to school each morning.
We also just went on an amazing trip to California with the Sidwell crew. The girls loved playing with their cousins. Some of the highlights were 1. Going to Disneyland!!! 2. Going to LEGOLAND 3. Playing at the beach. We played HARD...and all of us came home exhausted. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Sidwell, for one of the most fun and memorable experiences our family has had yet!
Kenzie and Grayice both had birthday's this summer. Graycie chose to go to the musical "Wicked" instead of having a birthday party this year. I took her to a matinee the day after her birthday, it was fun to spend some one-on-one time with just Graycie. She loved the play and even asked if I would download some of the songs to her MP3 player afterwards. She was in heaven and it was so fun to watch her bright eyes soaking in all the magic that is a Broadway musical.
Kenzie got to celebrate her birthday at Lake Powell this year. We made an Ariel birthday cake for her, and she got to open presents with Nanny and Ta-Ta an her Arkansas cousins. Afterwards we played "minute to win it" on top of the houseboat. I took some pretty great videos of the kids doing minute to win it games, one in particular included stacking chocolate ding dong towers on their foreheads. It was definitely entertaining!
Summer has officially come to an end. Halloween is just around the corner, so stay tuned for another update in a few months!
