Summer Part 2

As promised, here is the 2nd installment of this summers adventures. Graycie turned 7!
This year was her year to have a friend birthday party (we are starting an every other year tradition). She chose to have her party at Chuck E. Cheese. I was a bit hesitant at first, but when I started looking up pricing for a large birthday party somewhere other than the park or our house(both of those options were unacceptable to her)...I happily agreed to Chuck E. Cheese (it was a much cheaper option).

She invited a few friends and we planned the party for the afternoon of her actual birthday. We only had a few days to get ready after returning home from our Mt. Rushmore trip. We went to the dollar store to pick party favors and we made a hot pink "Barbie" themed birthday cake, with hearts on it....at the request of the birthday girl.

The day came and Graycie had a wonderful time with her friends. She says the highlight of her special day was the "ticket blaster". Basically she got into a plexi-glass tube and they turned on a fan and a million tickets flew all over the place...the object was to grab as many as possible in 1 minute. She did pretty well and ended up with an insane amount of tickets....enough to buy a Barbie game from the prize counter.

At 7 years old Graycie is still very responsible and kind. She is very, VERY, perceptive of others feelings and emotions. She is a wonderful big sister. She is an excellent reader, and is reading WAY above grade level. She loves music and listens to the mp3 player that she received for her birthday ALL THE TIME. She loves gymnastics and is getting stronger and stronger every time she goes to class. She is a joy! We love you Graycie, and are so grateful to have you in our family.
