Christmas...a bit late.

We had a fabulous Christmas this year. We started off the festivities with a quick visit to Park City, Utah to go skiing with my family and my uncle Kim and his family. SO FUN! Then we left Christmas Eve day to head down to my mom and dad's house in Neola. It was truly a wonderful time being with my family, including my cousins, aunts, uncles, and Grandpa and Grandma Morrill.

Christmas Eve night we did the traditional nativity story acted out by the grandkids. The cast was as follows:

Riley-Joseph
Graycie-Mary
Asher- Innkeeper
Sam-Donkey
Kenzie-Angel

It was so fun to watch them get dressed up. It might not have been the most reverent rendition of the nativity scene but it was the cutest. Aunt Ellen surprised all the grandkids with new pajamas. Afterward everyone scurried off to bed after Aunt Lacey showed them the "Santa Tracker" on the comptuer. Graycie came running upstairs yelling that she had to go to bed because the comptuer said Santa was going to be at our house "IN TWO MORE TIMES!" Not sure what that meant, but it totally worked and they went right to sleep.

The girls had a great time opening presents on Christmas morning, and seeing what Santa brought them. Kenzie still doesn't quite comprehend what all the hubub is about....but after about present number 3 she started to get the hang of it and never looked back again. :) Graycie of course loved every second of it.

It was a wonderful Christmas. This year has been amazing and we have been so blessed. Our beautiful children keep us marveling every day at how wonderful life is. Hope your Christmas was as good as ours. :)
